Understanding child custody and support in Illinois

Illinois law uses the terms allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time rather than custody and visitation. Parental responsibilities include both parenting time and significant decision-making about a child's education, health, religion, and extracurricular activities.
These issues may be addressed as part of a divorce or in a separate case between parents. Parents generally must file a proposed parenting plan, together or separately, within 120 days after a petition for allocation of parental responsibilities is filed or served.
Courts generally allocate decision-making responsibilities and parenting time according to the child's best interests. Child support is addressed under Illinois guidelines that generally consider both parents' incomes, along with individual circumstances.
If you already have a court order, changing it generally requires a modification through the court. A private agreement alone does not change an existing order.

12. Security deposit. Landlord will refund the deposit, less deductions for damage beyond normal wear and tear1, within 45 days after Tenant vacates, with an itemized statement of any damage deductions delivered within 30 days.
Does carpet wear from two years of normal living count as damage?
18. Default. If rent is late, Landlord may demand payment by giving Tenant written notice allowing at least five days to pay2; if Tenant does not pay in full within that time, Landlord may end the lease and file an eviction action.
If I pay part of the rent during the five days, does the notice still count?
